License to Operate a Driving School

To operate a driving school in Sweden, you need a license from the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen). The license is granted to individuals or companies that demonstrate the ability to provide good driver training, considering both personal suitability and financial stability.

All staff working at the school, including traffic instructors, education leaders, and the school principal, must be approved by and registered with Transportstyrelsen. The premises used for classroom instruction must be suitable and registered. You must also submit a teaching plan and ensure that staff receive ongoing professional development. Transportstyrelsen supervises licensed driving schools.
