Taxi Driver
To work as a taxi driver in Sweden, you need a taxi driver's license (taxiförarlegitimation) issued by the Swedish Transport Agency (Transportstyrelsen). The license is personal and must be carried while driving.
The assessment covers both professional qualifications and personal prerequisites. You must pass a knowledge test covering traffic regulations, taxi-specific rules, and local geography. Additional requirements include being at least 20 years old, holding a valid driving license, passing a medical examination, and demonstrating law-abiding conduct. For persons educated within the EU/EEA, professional qualifications from another country can be recognized, possibly with supplementary tests or an adaptation period.

- Professional qualification: Approved training and test for taxi drivers, or recognized equivalent qualification from EU/EEA.
