Flavoring of Spirits
Restaurants with a permanent serving license for spirits may flavor spirits for serving as snaps in their own establishment after notifying the municipality. This means you can prepare brännvin (spirits distilled from potatoes or grain) with your own spice blends and herb recipes on-site.
The flavoring operation must be small-scale and the flavored brännvin may only be served at your own establishment, not sold or distributed elsewhere. You notify the municipality where your restaurant is located, and they also exercise supervision over the flavoring activity. This is a simpler notification process, not a separate license application.
