Combat Sports Events

Those who wish to organize combat sports matches must apply for a permit from the Combat Sports Delegation at the County Administrative Board in Örebro County. Combat sports match means competition, training or demonstration match that allows participants to intentionally strike the opponent's head with punches, kicks or other force.

There are two types of permits: for one or several individual matches, and general permits for a certain period or indefinitely (primarily for combat sports organizations and federations). Permits are granted only if the competition rules and safety regulations provide acceptable safety for participants.

Requirements

  • Safety: Competition rules and safety regulations must provide acceptable safety for participants
  • Application time (individual matches): At least two months before first match
  • Application time (general permit): At least three months before first match event
  • Fee: Application fee must be paid before processing

Procedure

  • Application: Submitted to County Administrative Board in Örebro County
  • Fee: Pay application fee before processing
  • Assessment: Combat Sports Delegation decides on permit
  • General permit: Can be applied for by combat sports organizations to cover members bound by the organization's regulations
