Register, Deregister and Modify Construction Site

Construction companies must register their construction sites with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). Registration is required before work begins on any construction site. You must also report changes to the site and deregister it when work is complete.

As part of this obligation, you must maintain an electronic staff register (personalliggare) at every construction site. This register records who is working on site and their shift start and end times, updated daily. Registration and all changes are handled through Skatteverket's e-service.

Requirements

  • Electronic personnel register (personalliggare): Must be maintained for all construction sites by law.
  • Daily records: You must record daily who is working at the construction site and when they started and finished each work shift.
  • Notification: The construction site must be notified to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).

Procedure

  • Notification: Notify the construction site via the Swedish Tax Agency's e-service.
  • Maintain register: Record daily who is working and their working hours.
  • Modifications: Modify construction site information via the e-service.
  • Deregistration: Deregister the construction site when activities cease via the e-service.
