Street Vending Permit
A street vending permit (standplaatsvergunning) is required for occupying a pitch on public roads to sell goods, offer services, or advertise. This applies to both permanent pitches (longer than one month) and temporary pitches (up to a maximum of one month).
The permit is issued by the municipality where the pitch is located. Through local regulations (Algemene Plaatselijke Verordening, APV), the municipality determines where and under what conditions pitches are permitted. The permit prevents nuisance and ensures public order and safety.

- Location: The desired location must be suitable according to municipal pitch policy
- Assortment: Clear specification of goods to be sold or services to be offered
- Operator: The applicant must meet personal requirements and must not have relevant criminal record
Procedure
- Apply online: Submit the application digitally via the municipal website with all required information
- Assessment: The municipality assesses whether the pitch fits within policy and whether all requirements are met
- Fees: If granted, fees must be paid according to the municipal tariff
- Decision: The municipality issues the permit, possibly with additional conditions
Restrictions
- Hours: The pitch may only be occupied during the hours specified in the permit
- Location: The pitch must be occupied exactly at the assigned spot
- Assortment: Only the permitted goods or services may be offered
- Nuisance: The permit holder must prevent nuisance to local residents and other road users
