Sunday Rest Disruption Exemption

A Sunday rest disruption exemption (zondagsrustverstoring ontheffing) is an exemption based on the Sunday Act (Zondagswet) that you need when you want to organize an event on Sunday. The Sunday Act is part of Dutch legislation regulating Sunday rest.

The exemption is intended to allow activities on Sunday that are normally not permitted on special occasions. You can apply for the exemption via the online form for an event permit, or in writing to the municipality if it does not concern an event.
