Gaming Machine Permit

A presence permit is required for placing certain types of gaming machines in hospitality establishments, amusement arcades, or other public spaces. This permit regulates the placement and operation of gaming machines and is intended to prevent gambling addiction and ensure public order.

The permit is issued by the municipality and depends on the type of gaming machine and the location where it is placed. Not all gaming machines require a permit; this depends on the classification of the device according to the Gambling Act (Wet op de kansspelen).
