Completion Notification Construction Activity
A completion notification for construction activity is a notification you must make to the municipality when your construction project is completed. This is a mandatory notification under the Decree on Buildings in the Living Environment (Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving, Bbl). The notification is important so the municipality knows the building has been delivered and can conduct an inspection if necessary.
In some municipalities, such as Emmen, this notification is especially important in areas with soil subsidence due to peat oxidation or shrinking clay and loam layers. The municipality can then check whether the building meets the requirements and whether there is damage.
Requirements
- Completed construction activity: The building must be completed according to the permit or notification
- Project data: Reference to project number or environmental permit
- Completion date: The date on which the building was completed
- Responsible party: Name and contact details of the building owner or contractor
Procedure
- Make notification: Make the completion notification to the municipality, often digitally via the environment portal (omgevingsloket)
- Inspection: The municipality may decide to conduct an inspection to verify that the building complies with the permit
- Confirmation: You will receive confirmation of the notification
